The Wild Boys are coming

Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon.

Pop sensations Duran Duran will be playing live in Malta on July 26.
Renowned for hits like Wild Boys, Rio, Come Undone and Girls on Film, the band will perform at the Luxol Parade Grounds.

The deal was struck on Friday between the band's management and NnG Promotions, who have been responsible for organising other large-scale concerts featuring the likes of Bryan Adams, Elton John and Roger Waters.
The Red Carpet Massacre tour kicked off in Canada a fortnight ago, before hitting Europe in June. The Malta concert could well be the last leg of the tour named after the band's last critically-acclaimed album.

The tour, which features several of their well-known hits, is winning plaudits for its elaborate staging aimed at freshening the band's greying image. With the exception of guitarist Andy Taylor, Duran Duran have resorted to the original line-up with Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor.

Nigel Camilleri from NnG said: "Till this day, Duran Duran are one of the few bands that still garner a following. They still manage to draw the crowds and like Bryan Adams, they appeal to anyone up to the age of 45."
The band's career has been something of a rollercoaster, rocketing from underground British post-punk sensations to teen idols in the 1980s. But their fall from grace was equally fast as the group's line-up fragmented and the hits dried up before the original line-up got back together in the 1990s.
The album Red Carpet Massacre has also shown that the band is moving with the times, having engaged producer Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.
Duran Duran's videos have been as notable as some of their hit singles, capitalising on their fashion-model looks and the odd splash of make-up. Since the 1980s they have notched up 21 singles in the Billboard chart and 30 in the Top 40 UK singles charts, winning two Grammy Awards in the process. They have sold more than 75 million albums.

i definitely will go. probably umberto too because i always meet him during these summer concerts. last summer we had some good ones, and the summer before too

i don't know about the others - not yet anyway.

no you havent, but he's been around VM for a very long time and we've known each other, via VM and another local forum, for ages now. a nice guy. totally anti immigrant but not a supporter of norman or IE.
