I started discussing the issue of illegal immigrants with students.

A very bright student asked me: "Why do they come here in the first place?"

I also gave them other valid reasons.

I also discuss this issue with friends and workmates and all of them end up agreeing with me even those who used to find Norman an 'extremist'.

What I do enjoy is when I unmask the faces of religious hypocrites and show them for what they really are:

"Of course NOT, they are doing so to be exempted from income tax" and I show whoever I am speaking to the little newspaper cutting of the ToM wherein it is stated that the Jesuit Refugee Services are to be exempt from income tax.

So you see, all you have to do is to have valid arguments and many Maltese will slowly come to your side.

i approved your question in the ask lowell section but as you have posted here i will explain a little.

VM's manifesto is almost complete however it will be released only when needed. we have our own ideas and do not want them stolen by the usual whores who have as much imagination as a bucket of fish.

When Norman says something like demolishing all buildings built before 1800 you have to understand the spirit of what he is saying and not take it word for word. he is saying that since (aprox) 1800 we have seen the rape of malta and its skyline and we intend of rectifying it. the pyramid is an idea for use way in the future and such structures are already being built. it is in the same spirit of the sky scraper. i dont think it will be built (or any similar structure) within normans lifetime. it sound very unrealistic but so did flying and visiting the moon. look at the progress we have witnessed in the last century. at the turn of the century we drove around on horses, took weeks to get anywhere far by ship and communication was via mail only. norman just has a vision, its the spirit of that wich needs to be followed.

what im against is the preaching but no offer to help. what is done is done by people in their spare time. all the preaching and talking will get us nowhere. there are projects in the making but i can honestly say that i doubt they have a future as there are no people with the will power to advance the idea.

neverwinter is now our main contributer for front page news and tries to compile news that affects malta or that maltese should learn from. he is american

i am half british/maltese and was born in the uk.

now what the issue is is that these people know what is coming and so work to help how they can. they may not agree on many things but they know that orgs such as anr are full of shit. they help because not helping means disaster for malta and europeans worldwide.

VM isnt run by this forum but by hard working people who in their free time work to improve and discuss many issues. Norman Lowell and other active members always represented us when invited on tv etc..While we enjoyed it on the sofa. Personally, until now, I have only attended one meeting organised by VM so i cannot consider myself as active. On the other hand I try to spread our ideas with friends. But this isnt enough and I know it. If it wasnt for activists here VM is nothing at all! So here I have to thank those who really form part of VM and try to do their best.

its the bashing that we dont like. ideas and decent criticism is fine. we do get annoyed though sometimes. i stopped getting any satisfaction from vm quite a while ago. we continue because there isnt much choice.

...Not for the losers but for the winners... for those open-minded fellows that make part of VM. Malta have few of these people and they are becoming fewer - extinct, and therefore we need to cultivate them and push them forward.

Norman was one of them once. But now, he's losing confidence and trust. And i do not wish that this will occur and happen. Norman should know better than anyone else that although political trends are showing good intentions and vibes for turning to another party, they are not trusting power in his hands. Not because he's not tough and mighty but because he doesn't have the capability of achieve the best solution in the interest of the whole country. To chant against illegal immigrants and burst your guts against the church doesn't put him in a pretty place. I am all out against illegal immigrants invading our country but using words such as "kill them in the middle of the seas" or other such statements, instill only hate and people will turn against him. To criticize the church and it's slowly pace, i fully agree with u but to shun it completely, the man is wrong. There's nothing in the world that can be shunned for good.

Rubbish. PN are succesful in general elections because the opposition is lost in space. Unfortunately many Maltese are ready and willing to grumble but find it difficult to act or do something. Thus the PN and MLP shall always count on their blind mass following them.

If the majority of the Maltese simply do not vote and thus both parties see an ever decreasing support then that should be something. I, like many others am much anticipating VM to contest the elections one day or another but the problem lies in the Maltese itself who seem content to bla bla bla but fail to make the first simple step ie: not to vote.
