I am at a loss for words. Apologising was bad enough but this. So it's either "every man has a price" or he got some pretty bad threats which translate to one and the same thing, since those threats were something on the lines of "you will not be making any more films unless ..."
As if he needs more money.
He was one of my favourite actors. Not anymore.

Can nobody stand up to these people?

I have a feeling that this goes beyond mere threats to cut the movie life-line of Mr Gibson.

I suspect that the threats levels are against himself... and his friends... family and family's family...

Either that or he is a coward - Goldenberg on the other hand is a fiend for suggesting that the man should pay more body parts. Is this not soliciting?

The point remains that if this is true, bad kidney or not, he's shown himself to be the Anti-Braveheart.

FREEDOM! my left foot. Come to think of it, maybe after all, people should not be so hard on Mr Gibson re: this incident vis-a-vis the heroes he portrays in his movies, he's just an actor with the liver of a chicken.

All the same, it would have been very nice if he had stood up to them.
He does not need more money, he can finance his own films (The Passion)
and he would have found lots of support from a lot of people, so why is he grovelling? Maybe they got him by the short and curlies on something we don't know about? Maybe it's all a ruse and he's in with them ...



I'm no medical whizz,but if gibson was such a hard drinker as the media prtrayswould his kidneys be upto scratch?Would the kidney be good enough for this rabbi?Mind you,I presume gibson is donating it FREE.

Donating one's own body part to help another person in need is very noble and courageous, but unfortunately I suspect that Mel's donation has got nothing to do with christian beliefs but it is more of a case of blackmailing.

The fear that his next movie will be grounded, the expected donation to the holocaust museum are all in black and white and thus it is here that I smell a rat.

As most of you know, I am no anti semite but on the other hand I have always believed in give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar.

The rabbi's comments about Mel having to give two kidneys......... is a shame especially coming from a person who supposedly should preach forgiveness. To keep reminding Mel about his next movie is disgustful and a reckless blackmail (remember Fatty Armbuckle anyone?) and the (forced) expected donation is a disgraceful remark to the least.

Mel should not bow down to any kind of blackmail. If he really feels sorry about any comments that he may have said he should apologise and that's final. Afterall when one admits his mistake and apologises shows what a real man he is.

If donations are done with a clean and honest heart, then there is nothing wrong in that, as it is a noble gesture but if donations are being done to avoid blacklisting or blackmail then that is another story.

The remarks said by the rabbi are a disgrace to all honest jews and to all of those who have untill now not condemmed them. Rabbi goldenberger does not deserve a kidney but deserves to rot in hell.

Rabbi goldenberger has forgotten the meaning of forgiveness, guess years of warfare do change everyone's morality. It is disgraceful that it seems that even in hollywood's circle there seems to be an aura against Mel.

To blackmail a person to submission is disgusting and what I have found disturbing is the forced donation to the holocaust museum. Strange that rabbi goldenberger did not ask for a donation to maimed children due to conflicts world wide.

I cannot say that Mel is a moral coward as one can immagine what pressure he is constantly facing. I do believe though that due to goldenberger's un ethical comments he should help another person who needs a kidney (guess in the US they have a long waiting list), and should donate to persons which are really in need (afterall in the US there are many living in poverty).

It is goldenberger who should ask for an apology for being such an un ethical asshole. Rabbi goldenberger should learn to practice what he preaches unless his preachings do not involve forgiveness.

Joan Rivers: Mel Gibson Should Die

Comedienne Joan Rivers says Mel Gibson deserves death for the anti-Semitic remarks he made during his July drunk driving arrest.

"He is an anti-Semitic son of a bitch. He should (expletive) die!” she declared during an interview with Celebrity Week.

About Gibson’s interview with Diane Sawyer of "Good Morning America,” which aired this week, Rivers said: "The hypocrisy is what I hate. You know it’s all about ratings and Diane Sawyer has them all when she’s married to a Jewish guy, Mike Nichols.

It’s ridiculous because she’ll get great ratings and [Gibson] will be back in business.”

Rivers, who was promoting her upcoming Bravo special, "Joan Rivers: Before Melissa Pulls the Plug,” also said she’s added a few Mel Gibson jokes to her stand-up routine, including: "His bumper sticker is ‘My other car is a gas chamber.’”
