Migrants land in Birzebbugia

A group of 29 illegal immigrants were spotted a few miles off the south of Malta.

Police said that after receiving information about this sighting, they immediately went to the indicated area. Shorty afterwards, at around 0600CEST, the boat entered Birzebbugia.

Immigration police are conducting the investigations.

Fi żvilupp ieħor, 29 immigrant ieħor daħlu Malta għall-ħabta tas-6:00am, wara li l-Pulizija kienet infurmata li kien hemm dgħajsa ftit 'il barra min-nofsinhar ta' Malta, u li fuqha x'aktarx kien hemm aktar immigranti illegali. Il-Pulizija marret immedjatament fuq il-post, u ftit wara d-dgħajsa daħlet f'Birżebbuġa. Aktar investigazzjonijiet għadhom għaddejja u qed jitmexxew mill-Pulizija mis-Sezzjoni ta' l-Immigranti.

F'erbat' ijiem, huma rappurtati li waslu Malta kwasi 300 immigrant klandestin.

It's obvious that there are no clear statistics. Especially since they are not reporting all the landings in the media.

Yes, they are illegal. Yes they are invaders. Yes they are non-europeans. Yes they are possibly criminals. Yes they are cowards for fleeing their home country. Yes they are possibly carrying a disease. Yes they are looking forward to living off of the european natives. Yes they would like a stay for as long as possible in their new found land. FLORIANA, Malta (di-ve news) -- June 29, 2005 --1000CEST -- Early this morning at around 0500hrs, 26 illegal immigrants were brought to shore at Xatt it-Tiben by an AFM patrol boat.

The 26 illegal immigrants were all men and allegedly 24 come from Sudan, 1 from Eritrea and 1 from Palestine.

Investigations are in the hands of the Immigration Police.
