September is not that far away,
Primeministers,Kings,Queens,Sultans,Dictators and Semi-dictators from every corner of the earth will be visiting our sacred island for this meeting.
We have countries like the UK who have proposed to abolish 3rd World Debt,on the otherhand countries like ZIMBABWE,ZAMBIA,LIBERIA (Commonwealth countries)are starving their populations and encouraging them to run away to Europe while their leaders live a life of waste,corruption and extarvaganza.
We will all be witness to this in September when they will all come in their nice private jets to Luqa from Africa.Not some kind of small Lear Jet (Bhall ta Tumas) but big Boeing jets normally used as passenger aircraft converted into Dictator Business Jets.
What I am proposing is some sort of protest in Valletta or leafletting to inform the public about the whole farce of the Commonwealth which surely does not promote a countries Wealth that is Common to all but only to the corrupt elite governing these countries.

Any I also have a question to Norman regarding this.
What does the Commonwealth really believe in this century? DO you think it's some sort of gathering for the elite,secretbrotherhoods etc....having aim at controlling all former colonial powers in a different way?

The government is bending over backwards to issue a vast number of visas to enable hundreds if not thousands of visitors and hangers-on who will be here for this Commonwealth (what a misnomer) summit.

Besides the fact that nothing will come out of this charade, what do the immigration authorities intend to do to prevent a large number of VIP refugees overstaying their already dubious welcome? Will a system of checks be put in place? It is simple enough to implement. If 'x' persons enter the country on a visa issued for this conference and x - y persons are recorded to have left after the charade is over, then you are left with 'y' bums staying behind.

Perhaps too complicated for the immigration computer system.

Mals I think we should orgainise a silent protest on the day the meeting begins.

Remember all eyes will be on Malta ie Valletta.

The Commonwealth was put in place to give power to certain members with secret affiliations within the former colonies.Look at all the African Countries /Commonwealth ones including ZImbabwe...their leaders mega-rich and their citizens dying of hunger or AIDS.It will be interesting to have a look at all the private jets these semi-dictators will fly to in September and then Tony Blair cries to cut 3rd world debt.What the British left in their formal colonies are inefficient Voting Systems eg Malta,Conflicts eg Pakistan,India,Sri Lanka and Cyprus or Semi-Dictators (Democratically elected ones)..eg.Mintoff,Mugabe,Taylor and others.
Yes we should protest peacfully and silently!.....against these regimes members of Commonwealth who are pushing thier own citizens to go to Europe.....to destroy our economies and social-structures.......and as a thank you we are discussing ways of forgiving their debt!!!....

Never mind the numbers, make sure they pay their bills. Mugabe and his Missuss are known to go places and stay in the best hotels and order everything on the menu and walk out without paying. Try getting your money from these African blood suckers? hahaha Whoever is in the restaurant business make sure that they show you the Money.
