Disclaimer: the speech that follows is one given by Norman Lowell in Mdina earlier this year. Whilst I have tried to transcribe fully and to the best of my abilities the words of Norman Lowell, any errors or omissions are regretted and are due either to misinterpretation or to misunderstanding on my part.

Welcome to all. It is good to be here in the magnificent and medieval city of Mdina, a city engineered using the genius of the Knights. We Maltese are privileged to be living on this island with such unique architecture left to us by the knights and we are here enjoying our heritage.
Today we are here because the media, for us and for me in particular – and even for Dr. Emmy Bezzina who defends me in court – the media is closed to us. There is a censorship clutching the nation. There is a blanket of darkness on the country. That which our forefathers fought for and even shed their blood for – the liberty to freedom of thought, freedom of expression and of association - is being eroded. And this is being done in the name of democracy. This battle is crucial for Malta because if we lose this battle, if we don’t fly the flag of liberty, the nation will be lost.
Today we one can say whatever one wants – as long as you don’t rock the boat – as they say. These days, I and my associates are always coming and going to court with a session almost every 2 weeks. There are constant and frenetic attacks upon us. Why? Because we dare to tell the truth. You can lie as much as you like and nothing happens. However if you write an article and publish it on the internet, they charge you with inciting racial hatred and want to send you to jail for 3 years. With the array of charges against me, if found guilty I am facing 12 years in prison.
There are about 4 cases against me but this will not stop me. My own children ask me: Daddy, why are you doing this? And my reply is simple; I do it for you and for your children. For our children and grand children, because there is nobody else willing to stand up and tell the truth.
Malta is being betrayed at the very top by everybody, the President, the Prime Minster, the Opposition, the Church, various NGO’s …. Everybody working for the destruction of this country, this culture, this nation and no one even notices. So someone has to do it! Someone has to speak up. At least I ……
We are fighting this fight because we are libertarians of the old school. Not liberals, where a criminal becomes more important than a victim, or has as much rights as the victim. We are libertarians of the old school – we let you do and say exactly as you please but if your words or your actions hurt others, you have to suffer the consequences of your actions. We are libertarians to the maximum.
This censure that we want to destroy has now reached levels of shocking proportions. The Broadcasting authority has given orders to all broadcasters to
a) Firstly to boycott and ignore “racists” – whatever that means.
b) Secondly, when there is a crime or an act of violence, to not publish the nationality of the perpetrator. This means that is a Maltese schoolgirl is walking home from school and is defiled or molested by an immigrant, a foreigner, the newscaster cannot say that she was defiled by an immigrant – or an illegal immigrant. Newscasters are not allowed to say anything about immigrants so as to avoid racial hatred.
c) Thirdly, to work for a multicultural society. But I do not want a multicultural society and the people do not want a multicultural society in Malta and I’ll tell you why.
What is multiculturalism? Multiculturalism as a term or a concept can be good but when you have two different cultures trying to co-exist, what you really have is a different culture growing within your midst, and the concept invariably fails. To see how this fails one need only go to Manchester and visit Chinatown, or to San Francisco and visit Chinatown or to wherever-town and visit china town! In these places, the Chinese immigrants could not integrate with the native populations thus they created their own ghettos.

Prof. Frank Salter is currently one of the worlds leading speakers on the problems cause by multiculturalism and he speaks of ethnic genetic interest. In a few words, Prof. Salter writes that in olden times, the family grew and became a band of roving people; from there they grew and became a tribe, then a city state and finally a nation state. The people had a fellow kinship between themselves, meaning the city state and the nation state were an extension of the family. Thus the human, like a flock a birds who fly together and defend and protect their young – not the young of an alien flock – the human defends and tends to his own flock.
In instances of danger, e.g. if a house catches fire, the mother first picks up and carries to safety her children, not the children of someone else. The same goes for the Nation – a nation should care and protect its nationals first and foremost.
So basically, people like us, people who don’t want multiculturalism, don’t want multi racialism, don’t want groups of immigrants to enter Malta and in so doing, displacing us with their numbers are merely following their natural instincts.
We are in fact behaving in a normal and natural, instinctive manner. These people are not racists. These are normal people who are defending their ethnic genetic interest. In Malta, those people who are protecting their children, their country and their culture are not racist. Don’t let anyone convince you that they are. These are noble people living according to nature. Nature tells you to defend your territory.
