The country has a 'no money problem" why?

1. The high cost of living.

2. All sorts of taxes to pay for irresponable government spending.

3. New jobs pay low wages because of immigrants.

4. The economy is slow with little growth.

5. Tourism is weak.

6. Young families cannot afford prices of houses and take heavy loans.

7. We aid the immigrants and not the Maltese that are poor.

8. The profits of big companies are sent abroad.

9. The EU came at a high cost to everyone.

10.We pay 100 million interest a year to pay government deficts.

S10th D, how did you calculate the interest on the Deficit?

Malta's debt is 1.5 Billion Liri. What interest is the Government paying ? 5%, 4.7%??

if the gov has any at all it should consider selling some at todays prices. at least to help out with the interest on the debt.

Good Idea, but the Lira's value will have to go down further.

Marco in today's economic climate something has to give. In this case Malta has to become more competitive and export more than it imports or at least try to counter balance the import/export deficit.

By exporting more you will offset the high cost of imported goods!
